We are looking for an experienced full-time RVN to join our team at the Lydney site. The role would include a mixture of theatre care and consulting.
Rota patterns that work for you
Our people are at the heart of everything that we do, that’s why we know that work-life balance is vital in supporting our people to be their best selves. Our flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours offers a balance that truly flexes with you and your lifestyle no matter what stage you are in your career. Ideally, we’re looking for someone to work full-time (up to 40 hours per week) but we will consider part-time applications. 1:7 Saturday mornings. We can tailor the rota around your personal circumstances.
A bit about us
Across our 3 sites, we have a well established, very supportive and friendly team. We love first opinion veterinary practice, and we value the role every person has in the team. Day to day, you would be working alongside our experienced team consisting of: Senior Veterinary Nurse, two Veterinary Surgeons, our Student Veterinary Nurse apprentice, 2 RVNs and our receptionist team. All three of our sites work closely together so you would also have the full support of the wider team. We are passionate about clinical development and staff involvement in decision making. We have full practice meetings every 2months, in addition to clinical club meetings every 2months, both of which take place during the working day. We welcome people bringing in fresh experiences and new ideas to help make our practice even better!
In each role, our team are encouraged to develop and pursue their interests. For example, our Veterinary Care Assistant is now our apprentice Student Vet Nurse and our RVNs are given opportunities to develop, such as in taking dental radiographs, performing dental scaling and wound suturing. Two of our vets are undergoing certificates, with several already holding them.
Whilst you will always be working with our experienced vets, there will be days where you would be the only RVN on site, so we need someone confident in all aspects of first opinion veterinary nursing. Unfortunately, this role is unlikely to suit a newly qualified RVN.
Because our people matter
We recognise that our people are fundamental to the success of our business. Investing in our people, premises and processes is at the heart of what we do. In addition to a competitive base salary of up to £32,000 DOE, you will benefit from –
