Our client based in Chelmsford are looking for an experienced Legal Cashier to join their team on a permanent part-time basis, 3 days per week (any days). The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience of using Sage or Xero, excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of accounts payable processes. If this sounds like you, please read on… Duties for the Part-time Legal Cashier involves: – * Processing accounts payable transactions efficiently and accurately. * Maintaining accurate records of all financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage. * Preparing and reconciling bank statements on a regular basis to ensure accuracy in financial reporting. * Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and statements as required. * Liaising with clients and vendors regarding payment queries and discrepancies. * Ensuring compliance with legal regulations and internal policies related to financial transactions. * Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc tasks as needed to enhance operational efficiency. What you will need: – * Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a legal or professional services environment. * Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero or Sage is highly desirable. * Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial record keeping. * Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills. * A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
