Qualifications
•Ability to perform the physically demanding duties of a firefighter.•No prior experience required to perform the basic tasks of the position•Ability to meet current requirements set forth by the National Fire Protection Association and the State of New Mexico Firefighters Training Academy.•Attain certification as an IFSAC Firefighter I before the end of the first year of employment.•Attain certification as an Emergency Medical Technician-Basic before the end of the first year of employment.•Valid New Mexico Driver\’s License required and must be insurable by City\’s vehicle insurance provider
Special Requirements
All applicants will be required to undergo physical assessment testing. Physical Assessment Medical Clearance can be provided up to day of physical assessment testing.
