Reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor, the First Class Machinist will join our Machine Shop on a Full-Time basis at our South Guildford, Perth, WA location. This role involves operating CNC Vertical Borer and/or CNC and manual machines.
Department Overview: Our Machine Shop specialises in the maintenance, repair, and optimisation of machinery components. We provide comprehensive solutions to ensure machinery operates efficiently, focusing on safety, reliability, and performance. Our skilled technicians and engineers deliver high-quality service using advanced diagnostic tools to meet client needs across various industries.
What You’ll Do:
- Operate CNC Vertical Borer and/or CNC and manual machines
- Prioritise workload effectively and strive for customer satisfaction
- Focus on safety using tools like Job Safety Analysis and Take 5\’s
- Read engineering drawings and produce quality work within tolerances and time frames
Skills & Experience:
- Australian recognised First-Class Machinist or Fitter Machinist Trade Certificate
- Knowledge of gauges such as callipers, bore micrometers, dial indicators
- Experience operating Vertical Boring Machines
- Strong time management and basic computer skills
- Experience reading engineering drawings and producing quality work within tolerances
- Forklift, rigging, and dogging licenses (Desired)
