Job Description

  • What will you be doing?

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will join in Bristol to support our activities within the Energy Sector
Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Utilize your strong knowledge and experience in structural mechanics and load path analysis to lead technical discussions, ensuring the robustness and safety of steel structures.
  • Apply your technical background to conduct calculations and analyze beam behavior, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Leverage your understanding of EPR or general PWR design principles to contribute to the successful implementation of projects.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to understand equipment interfaces, including safety case considerations, systems engineering, and CDM principles.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams, to ensure project objectives are met.

Who are we looking for?

  • Strong technical background in engineering, with a focus on structural mechanics and load path analysis.
  • Familiarity with steel structures calculation, beams analysis, and mechanical behaviors.
  • Understanding of EPR or general PWR design principles.
  • Proficiency in equipment interfaces, safety case considerations, systems engineering, and CDM principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Qualifications
Experience, skills and qualifications required:

  • Bachelor\’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field. Master\’s degree is a plus.
