Blue Legal have partnered with a top-tier Scottish law firm to find a talented Proposals Writer to join their Edinburgh / Glasgow office. The successful candidate will work closely with the Proposals Manager to create compelling proposals submissions to promote the firm’s activities across the public, private and third sectors. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled writer with a proven track record in producing successful proposals.

The Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on clients and sectors to identify key priorities and win themes for the opportunity qualification process.
  • Develop persuasive first draft answers/responses, making use of information from the proposals library, to be reviewed by the Proposals Manager.
  • Manage responses from content contributors across the firm to ensure win themes are communicated effectively.
  • Maintain the firm’s library of proposal collateral, develop content where gaps exist, and capture content from submitted proposals.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Proposals to support initiatives and achieve strategic firm and client-specific plans.
  • Work closely with members of the wider MBD team to deliver initiatives within tight deadlines.

The Candidate:

  • Previous experience in proposals or bids, ideally within a professional services firm.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in English, marketing, business, or related fields.
  • Strong written English language skills.
  • Experience with proposal automation software.
