The Opportunity Our client is now recruiting for an EC&I Technician at their Combined Heat & Power Plant (CHP) in Seascale. The EC&I Technician will ensure that all Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation maintenance routines, defect repairs, and projects at the plant are carried out safely and efficiently to support the 24/7 operation of the plant in accordance with corporate policies, procedures, and legislative requirements. Although this role is for an EC&I Technician, our client will consider applications from candidates who specialize in either Electrical or C&I and will provide training to fill any gaps. You'll be supported with personalized on-the-job training, coaching, mentoring, and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain and develop your contributions and competence. Minimum Requirements Time served apprenticeship or NVQ 3 in Electrical, Instrument, or Control discipline. Knowledge of instrument and control theory. Basic knowledge of The Electricity at Work Regulations. Understanding of Permit to work systems, risk assessment, and method statement documentation. Good understanding of EC&I problem-solving techniques and ability to read single line diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs.
