The AHP team at Pulse is seeking an experienced Speech & Language Therapist to join our dedicated educational setting, which serves 122 pupils with complex needs associated with Autism Spectrum Disorders, aged 4-16 years. As the Head of Therapies, you will spearhead our therapy services, including Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Art Therapists. Your mission will be to drive the development, optimization, and innovation of our therapy services, aligning them closely with the school’s objectives, ethos, and teaching practices.

Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist:

You will manage your own clinical caseload, providing strategic clinical and operational leadership to our dynamic therapy team. Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to deliver exceptional, cost-effective services. Play a key role in pupil referrals and therapy service optimization. Oversee financial and resource management within the therapies department. Champion continuous professional development to ensure a high standard of service delivery.

  • Recognised Speech and Language Therapy qualification
  • HCPC registration
  • Experience working with children or adults with communication needs
  • Knowledge of clinical governance principles and audit processes.
  • Valid driver’s license.
