AWTG is looking for a very talented and experienced Backend Developer who specializes in both web and mobile software engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Creating and maintaining WordPress plugins to extend site functionality.
- Customizing and building WordPress themes to match design and functionality specifications.
- Developing custom WordPress post types, taxonomies, and fields to enhance site functionality.
- Managing the migration of WordPress sites between servers, environments, or domain changes.
- Ensuring compatibility and managing updates to the WordPress core and plugins.
- Defining the tasks and main goals of new projects.
- Developing architectural solutions for the project and writing efficient, scalable code.
- Managing the development team and ensuring project milestones are met.
- Contributing to the achievement of overall team goals.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of WordPress back-end and front-end architecture and their interaction.
- In-depth experience with Laravel and Symfony framework for robust web application development.
- Solid understanding and experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and deployment.
- Confident knowledge of WordPress and PHP development.
- Experience with PHPUnit / Codeception.
- Proficiency in debugging tools.
- Good knowledge of Git.
- Understanding of Agile (Scrum, Kanban) methodology.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with GCP tools and services such as Cloud Functions, App Engine, and Cloud Storage.
- Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
- Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration tools.
- Ability to optimize application performance and scalability on cloud platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Salary: 35,000 – 37,000, per year, depending on your skillsets
Work schedule: Monday – Friday
