Position Purpose:
Entry level position where the Compliance Education Specialist is responsible for training customers on OSHA, HIPAA, and HazCom compliance/regulations via presentations, on-site facility OSHA Evaluations, HIPAA Gap Analysis, and customer consultation.
Key Job Activities:
- Provide onsite services including presenting PowerPoint presentations, conducting OSHA site evaluations, HIPAA gap analysis, Mystericycle.com system overview, completing safety plans, and evaluations with recommendations.
- Assist with managing assigned territory/book of business and company expenses (travel, hotel, flights, etc.).
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email, providing answers and resolutions to compliance questions and assistance in achieving compliance.
- Utilize electronic technology (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.) to deliver onsite visits and upload customer documents/reports promptly.
- Maintain current knowledge in bloodborne pathogens, OSHA, HIPAA, HazCom regulations, and CDC protocols for healthcare workers to enhance proficiency.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education:
Preferred: Associate\’s degree or equivalent; Bachelor\’s degree preferred.
Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment.
- Completion of 30-hour online OSHA training within the first 6 weeks of employment.
- HIPAA certification to be completed at a later date.
This position requires onsite presence at Stericycle customer locations and compliance with all mandatory immunization requirements, including COVID-19 vaccination. Reasonable accommodations will be provided as per laws.
