Impact Recruitment is proud to be working with a growing and well-respected business based in Kettering. Our client is looking for a reliable, hands-on Workshop Assistant to join their friendly team on a permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in timber or woodworking who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. If you\’re practical, take pride in your work, and want to be part of a business where your contribution matters-this could be the perfect role for you.
Location: Kettering
Hours: Monday-Thursday, 7:30am-4:30pm | Friday, 7:30am-12:30pm
Pay: £13.50 per hour (with potential pay increase after 6 months)
What you\’ll be doing:
* Keeping the yard and workshop clean, tidy, and well-organised
* Safely stacking wood panels and handling materials
* Operating the edge bander machine (training provided if necessary)
* Packing customer orders and managing waste/recycling
* Supporting skilled team members with woodworking tasks and general duties
What we\’re looking for:
* Previous experience working with timber or in a woodworking environment
* Comfortable using woodworking tools and machinery
* Experience in a factory or workshop setting
* A strong work ethic, reliability, and a team-first attitude
