About the Team
The Sovereign Cloud Automation & Tooling (SAT) team is responsible for designing and delivering secure, compliant, and automated operational tooling for SAP’s Sovereign Cloud customers. One of our key offerings is the Operations Control Plane (OCP) — a platform that enables seamless provisioning, monitoring, and lifecycle automation for cloud infrastructure in regulated markets such as the UK, Canada, Australia, and upcoming sovereign regions.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with deep experience in cloud platforms, enterprise tooling, and agile product development to support the design and continuous evolution of the OCP. This role will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams, ensuring requirements are clearly understood, aligned with compliance goals, and delivered with impact.
You will play a critical role in defining user journeys, translating complex functional needs into product backlogs, and enabling scalable, secure cloud automation aligned with sovereign principles.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders (Product Owners, Engineering, Security, Regional Ops) to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for the OCP platform.
Translate business goals into clear user stories, process flows, and functional specifications aligned with agile delivery models.
Support roadmap planning, sprint prioritization, and backlog grooming in partnership with Product Management and Scrum teams.
Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to define end-to-end use cases, especially for provisioning, monitoring, and lifecycle automation workflows.
Ensure requirements incorporate compliance, security, and regional sovereignty mandates.
Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments when introducing new features or changes across interconnected systems (SPC, CRM, SAT tools).
Partner with QA and UAT teams to validate deliverables against original requirements and business expectations.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in enterprise software or cloud infrastructure domains.
Strong understanding of cloud operations, automation tooling, and/or ITSM processes.
Skilled in writing user stories, acceptance criteria, wireframes, and process documentation.
Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, BPMN, Figma, or Visio for documentation and collaboration.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional coordination skills.
Ability to work in fast-paced, distributed, and multi-regional teams.
Knowledge of Sovereign Cloud, Public Sector, or regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., UK Cyber Essentials, GDPR).
Familiarity with SAP internal systems like SPC, CRM, SolMan, or other provisioning and automation platforms.
Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code concepts is a strong advantage.
Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA) or Agile (Scrum Master, Product Owner) is a plus.
Why Join Us?
Be a key enabler in SAP’s sovereign transformation journey. Shape how regulated governments and industries provision, automate, and govern their cloud landscape with confidence.
