We have a fantastic opportunity for an existing Third in Charge or an experienced room lead (senior) who is looking to take the next step in their career, to assist with the daily managerial duties and help lead our lovely little 45-place preschool nursery.
The preschool caters for children aged 2-5 years old. Our staff make the most of the rural location of the nursery, providing daily outdoor play opportunities in the fresh air. We believe it is essential to utilize the beautiful rural surroundings to ensure children have fun while learning about the environment.
The ideal candidate will have early years experience, excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum, and be an inspirational leader.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience leading and motivating teams (ideal)
- Experience with early years 2+
- Minimum 1 year experience working within a nursery / early years setting
- Qualification to Level 3 or above in childcare / early years
Key Responsibilities of the Third In Charge
- Assist with the daily running of the nursery/preschool
- Partnership working with parents
- Lead and develop teamwork
- Work with the EYFS curriculum, and care and supervise children according to their physical, emotional, and intellectual needs
- Supervise planning and activities that support individual development in a stimulating environment
- Keep developmental records and observations
- Maintain staff ratios
The role is ideally full-time, working 4 or 5 days per week, but part-time hours can be discussed to support work-life balance.
Salary is negotiable, based on experience, qualifications, and hours.
