ABS Global, a Genus Company has an exciting opportunity. We are looking for a highly skilled and detailed-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. The Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and providing strategic recommendations and solutions to enhance business performance. The role will involve collaborating with stakeholders across various departments to gather, document, and analyze business requirements, processes, and data.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and an understanding of business operations and financials with the ability to translate improvements into tangible business value.

This position is located remotely in the US and with travel estimated at 20%.

The salary range for this position is $120,000 – $140,000 USD. The salary provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Genus considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

We would also consider employees working in the UK where Genus does business. Compensation and benefits would be aligned with that country.

You Will

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business needs and gather detailed requirements for process improvements, system implementations, or other business changes.
  • Evaluate existing business processes, workflows, structures, and systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for optimization while translating processes and technologies into business values.
  • Analyze business and industry data, including KPIs, financial reports, and other key metrics, to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
  • Utilizing data to develop and propose business solutions, including process changes, automation opportunities, software applications, and strategic opportunities that align with business goals.
  • Create clear and concise business and technical documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, process flow diagrams, and use cases.
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring both parties have a shared understanding of project requirements and goals.
  • Provide key insights to senior management and collaborate cross-functionally to develop recommendations for business improvement.
  • Assist with the planning, scheduling, and management of business projects, ensuring alignment with business priorities and timelines.
  • Stay up to date on industry best practices, data, technologies, and trends, and provide recommendations for continuous business improvement.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications: (required)

  • Bachelor\’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business or Financial Analyst or in a similar role; minimum of 6 years.
  • Strong understanding of business processes, project management, and solutions implementation with experience testing and mapping various business processes and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders while able to influence key stakeholders to support proposed strategies, process improvements and operational decisions.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or project management software.
  • Ability to be resourceful and work independently.
  • Effectively manage multiple tasks while working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Experience with ERP systems, CRM systems, or custom software development.
