We are currently looking to permanently employ an Extrusion Line Operator. You may also be required to work within our Timber Production department.
Established in 1994, Dunster House Ltd is a growing family run, international business currently employing over 500 people across our 14 UK sites.
With over 30 years of designing, manufacturing and retailing garden lifestyle products we are proud to be garden building specialists and distribute our products on our own fleet of vehicles to our customers.
This job is based out of our Huntly Factory AB54 4PS
Job includes:
- Assisting with Setting up/Operating/Shutting down the PVC extrusion machine and mixer.
- Coordinating with Maintenance Engineer during problem solving, breakdowns and improvement efforts.
- Identifying faults and carrying out basic maintenance activities.
- Carry out general housekeeping activities within the work area.
- Comply with a \’clean as you go\’ policy
- Labouring
- Feeding the machine
- Stacking the Timber when it comes out of the machine
Requirements:
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience of working in a production environment
- Ability to be flexible and work without supervision.
- Competent in problem solving, planning and decision making.
- Ability to work under pressure, in quality & results driven environment.
- Positive approach with a continuous improvement mind-set
- Ability to communicate effectively in the English language in both verbal and written forms.
Benefits:
- Primary hours of work: 06:00-20:00 Monday, 07:00-20:00 Tuesday to Wednesday. However, your shift pattern will change to 07:30-16:30 Monday to Thursday, 07:30-13:30 Friday, depending on workload.
- Overtime available
- 29 days holiday including Bank Holidays
- £12.21 – £12.70 p/h depending on experience
