Graduate Quantity Surveyor
We are currently seeking a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic commercial team in a large civil engineering company working on infrastructure projects in England. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail–driven graduate to build a strong foundation in the civil engineering sector with exposure to all aspects of project and cost management.
The ideal candidate will have recently completed a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field, and demonstrate a keen interest in commercial project delivery, cost control, and contractual management. You will be office based with the expectation to regularly visit sites and ideally will need to drive.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Quantity Surveying team in managing the commercial and contractual aspects of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and valuations in line with project requirements.
  • Monitor and control project costs and value, ensuring financial accuracy and consistency.
  • Help manage sub–contractor packages and assist in the procurement process.
  • Support in the preparation and negotiation of interim applications and final accounts.
  • Contribute to the administration of contractual obligations, including variations and change management.
  • Attend project meetings and assist with reporting on commercial progress.
  • Develop an understanding of the full project lifecycle and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Recently completed a BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or related commercial discipline.
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Keen interest in the construction and infrastructure sectors, especially in large–scale projects.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative, high–performance environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; knowledge of cost management software is a plus.
  • Holds a valid UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).
