As Removals Operations Manager, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safe and efficient day-to-day operations in alignment with our client\’s company procedures. Your ability to understand and proactively respond to the clients needs swiftly and positively is paramount. Covering operations in South London and its northern neighbouring counties, this role is deeply customer-focused, reflecting our commitment to exceptional customer service and responsiveness.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead the solution design process to optimise outcomes in savings, efficiency, and risk mitigation.
  • Manage team workloads to achieve goals and deadlines.
  • Provide analytical guidance within the management team.
  • Collaborate closely with the rest of the Removals Operations department to foster mutual support.
  • Function as a \’Number 2\’ and position yourself as the natural successor to the Branch Manager.
  • Oversee training, recruitment, onboarding, and staff retention.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in large volume, large-scale removals operations, with essential expertise in commercial removals and diary management.
  • Hold a Transport Managers CPC (Desirable, with training provided if needed).
  • B2B experience.
  • Maintain a white-glove, customer-driven mentality.
  • Experience working at a management level in a similar Removals Operations role.
  • Ability to liaise seamlessly from the shop floor to Board level.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, capable of identifying and managing complex or sensitive problems with coordinated responses.
