Base pay range
Salary: ÂŁ29,525 – A Civil Service Pension with an employer contribution of 28.97%
Contract Type: Permanent – Flexible working, Full-time, Job share, Part-time
Within this dynamic role, you will also oversee procurement processes and contract management. You will be responsible for approving orders, certifying invoices, and ensuring purchases meet Value for Money and Sustainability guidelines. You will identify improvements, implement changes, and liaise with stakeholders to communicate updates.
You will have the opportunity to work across the whole agency, liaising with the relevant internal departments to ensure that customers\’ needs are met. You will also work closely with external suppliers to source goods and ensure best value for money.
Key Responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:
- Executing management responsibilities effectively and in line with DVSA policies and processes, planning and coordinating tasks and activities and taking responsibility for ensuring objectives are delivered.
- Evaluating the business needs of requests received for all goods and services including equipment and supplies, and consideration of budgets.
- Approving orders made by the Frontline Logistics team including office supplies, operational tools and protective clothing.

About you
You have excellent leadership skills and experience of leading people, providing support and direction to achieve shared goals. You will be an articulate communicator, both verbally and in writing, who is able to adapt your communication style to suit your audience. You will confidently navigate challenge from stakeholders while maintaining professionalism and resilience. You will enjoy developing and maintaining positive, trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders, enabling successful collaboration.
You will have an understanding of procurement processes and/or contract management, enabling you to source the relevant goods whilst ensuring value for money. You will be confident using a range of IT systems and have the ability to quickly learn new skills, enabling you to contribute fully from the outset.
