We currently have a vacancy for a Nightshift HGV Technician in the fantastic team at our DAF Trucks Depot in Coventry.

As an HGV Technician on nightshift, we can offer you:

Who are we looking for as an HGV Technician:

· You will have previous experience working as an HGV Technician / Mechanic within the HGV, Commercial Vehicle, LGV, PSV, Heavy Plant, Car or an associated sector.

· Ideally have a qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.

· Or a time served HGV Technician.

· Ability to participate in breakdowns.

· Skills to follow company processes for completing all paperwork including accurate completion of job cards and service records.

· General level of computer literacy is advantageous.

· Full UK driving licence.

The HGV Technician role / responsibilities include (but not limited to):

Servicing and maintaining a wide variety of Trucks and Vehicles. Fault Diagnostics. MOT Preparation. Mechanical and Electrical repairs. Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures and in a safe and responsible manner. Road test vehicle when required, subject to licence restrictions. Attend any technical or development training that is made available.

Working hours:

Week 1: Mon – Thurs 8pm to 7am. Week 2: Tues – Fri 8pm to 7am.
