Customer Service Advisor

Tokio Marine HCC is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Advisor to join our Qdos division, a specialist in business insurance and consultancy services for UK freelancers, contractors and limited companies.

Overview

As the first point of contact for new and existing customers, you will process insurance and consultancy service applications for both new business and renewals.

Hybrid working policy: 2 days a week from home (Monday & Friday) with 3 days in office (Tuesday‑Thursday). Full office presence until training completed.

Location: The Grange, Grange Avenue, Rearsby, Leicester, LE7 4FY.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contact existing customers to manage renewal applications.
  • Assist customers via phone, email and online chat.
  • Provide product information and answer queries.
  • Update contact details and process administrative changes.
  • Upsell and cross‑sell additional products.
  • Liaise with underwriters on new insurance proposals.
  • Adhere to compliance and quality assurance standards.
  • Maintain a high degree of product knowledge.

Performance Objectives

  • Effectively communicate policy details.
  • Achieve renewal retention rates with the Sales Team.
  • Meet accuracy and quality benchmarks for quality assurance.
  • Reach key performance indicators across all role areas.
  • Upsell policies and additional products to meet performance targets.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Strong customer service experience.
  • Proficient in CRM or equivalent systems.
  • Excellent phone communication and active listening skills.
  • Initiative to help customers and work fast‑paced team.
  • Motivated to achieve positive results and reach targets.
  • Basic Microsoft Office knowledge.
