Site Engineer – Rail / Civils 📍 Hinsley / Greater Manchester area ⏳ Long-term contract 💷 Competitive PAYE day rate (paid weekly / in arrears) A leading Tier 1 delivery partner operating within the rail and transport infrastructure sector is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a long-term programme of works. This is a site-based role supporting live rail infrastructure projects, offering long-term, consistent work for the right individual. The Role You will provide engineering support on site, with a strong focus on setting out, quality assurance, and documentation, working closely with site management and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely and accurately. Key Responsibilities * Accurate setting out for civils and structural works * Maintaining and completing quality documentation, including ITPs, check sheets, and as-built records * Supporting site management with technical queries and drawings * Ensuring works are delivered in line with specifications and design information * Liaising with subcontractors to ensure quality and accuracy of works * Assisting with inspections, surveys, and handover documentation Requirements Essential * Proven experience as a Site Engineer within civils and/or rail environments * Strong setting out capability * Experience managing quality documentation and QA processes * Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications * Ability to work effectively within a live site environment Desirable * Rail experience and relevant competencies * Familiarity with Tier 1 contractor processes and standards Contract Details * Payment: PAYE * Rate: Competitive day rate * Duration: Long-term * Location: Hinsley / Greater Manchester 📩 This is a long-term opportunity with immediate start potential.
