Purpose of the Role
Join the Whole Vehicle CAD Verification team as the CAD Verification Engineer where you\’ll be analysing data against quality measures for the Bentley vehicle product line including configurations and model years, playing a pivotal role in our Beyond100+ strategy. Reporting into the Functional Manager- CAD Analysis & Feature Verification your main responsibilities include;
- Conduct analysis to identify CAD Data issues within Bentley Digital Mock Up – including different configurations and model years associated with the model line
- Use CAD Data Tracker tool to keep status accurate and up to date
- Take ownership of issues and facilitate solution with R&D Part Owners
- Prepare CAD Data Sets as needed to satisfy the demands of the Virtual Vehicle process
- Utilise technology to continually develop our processes and tools to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
About You – Skills And Experience
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of using Catia V5 and Siemens Teamcenter working on large complex assemblies – preferably within an automotive environment although other industries will be considered. You will also have strong knowledge of product development processes.
- Experience of CATIA V5 in a Designer or Verification based role
- Proven ability to manage business processes (preferably CAD / PLM based)
- Demonstrate a clear and comprehensive understanding of the product lifecycle process and design maturity conditions
- Ability to prepare professionally for DMU reviews and action recording
- A basic understanding of Engineering CAE Processes
- Be able to identify and engage with key stakeholders and communicate and influence at multiple levels within the business
- A “Self-starter” who can direct work against the most relevant business priorities
- A relevant degree or equivalent experience
