Our Programme Advisory team specialises in the strategy, set-up and transformation of major programmes and asset owning enterprises within the transport, defence, utilities, and power sectors in the UK and internationally.

The Opportunity:
We are looking for enthusiastic, talented, and proactive individuals to join our growing Consents Management team, within Programme Advisory. Our growing team needs people with hands on experience working in a major project environment – whether you\’re a champion of change, a connoisseur of consents or a perfect PM we\’d love to hear from you about how you could help us to deliver tangible results for our clients.
In Programme Advisory we work across the entire development lifecycle providing a range of services to our clients including programme and portfolio set up and delivery, transition management, governance and assurance solutions, and consents, stakeholder and sponsorship management.
We are looking for an experienced Consents Management professional to join our senior leadership team, with a focus on driving our continued growth in the North & Scotland.
As part of the Programme Integration team your key responsibilities will include:
- Working as part of an integrated project team to ensure the delivery of key client deliverables
- Designing and facilitating client workshops and presentations
- Managing client relationships
- Identifying and realising business development opportunities
- Leading or contributing towards the preparation of bid proposals or managing key bids
- Leading internal initiatives within the Programme Advisory team, such as the development of programme integration products and methodologies
- Mentoring and/or managing members of the Programme Advisory team
- Line managing junior staff (where applicable)
Qualifications
- Excellent technical understanding of consents strategy via different consenting routes (i.e. DCO, TWAO, Hybrid Bill), with experience of the Scottish planning system desirable
- Good knowledge and practical experience of the lifecycle of a consents process from pre to post consent
- Excellent technical understanding of discharging primary and secondary consents and post-consent deliverables
- Experience of pre-application and liaison with internal and external stakeholders within large and complex organisations
- Experience of coordinating approvals and notifications between all interested parties and managing consent management plans/strategies;
- Experience working in, or a familiarity with a consulting environment (other consultancies or as an internal consultant) or be able to demonstrate a consulting skillset
- A proven track record of delivering tangible results on across a range of projects, adopting a nimble approach and a can-do attitude.
- Experience of programme and/or project management within a complex environment with multiple workstreams
- Experience of designing and facilitating client workshops – or the desire to learn.
- Experience of managing the production of high-quality deliverables within challenging timescales
- Experience developing productive working relationships and the ability to identify new business opportunities
- Experience in some/all of the following sectors: infrastructure, transportation, utilities, natural resources, with defence particularly desirable
