We are seeking an experienced and strategic Reporting Manager to lead our Business Intelligence (BI) and reporting efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and delivering data-driven solutions, working collaboratively with Machine Learning (ML) teams, and leveraging tools like Tableau to deliver actionable insights. This role is crucial in shaping the BI reporting strategy, fostering cross-functional relationships, and driving impactful decision-making through data.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Strategy
- Own and develop the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Business Intelligence Reporting, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead a team to deliver high-quality BI solutions that meet the needs of stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Machine Learning teams to incorporate advanced analytics and predictive insights into reporting deliverables.
- Stay ahead of emerging business data trends to identify new opportunities for leveraging data in decision-making.
Reporting and Analytics
- Leverage large, complex datasets to deliver accurate, informative, and actionable business insights.
- Utilize tools like Tableau and other BI platforms to design and deliver effective dashboards and reports.
- Translate business requests into clear requirements, guiding the development and delivery of reporting solutions.
- Establish and maintain relationships to source quality, detailed, and relevant data both internally and externally.
- Drive cross-functional scoping discussions with BI, Finance, and Commercial teams to prioritize high-impact projects.
Stakeholder Management and Communication
- Serve as the subject matter expert on data, reports, and dashboards, providing documentation, workshops, and training for stakeholders.
- Understand stakeholder needs and guide them on how to consume and extract maximum value from BI reports.
- Communicate progress, priorities, and updates to stakeholders on a regular cadence, ensuring transparency and alignment.
Team and Execution Management
- Collaborate closely with data, engineering, and ML teams to drive the successful execution of BI projects.
- Manage the performance and output of the team, ensuring deliverables are aligned with business goals and measurable impacts.
- Integrate customer feedback and analytics into reporting requirements, ensuring solutions meet end-user needs.
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of BI reporting initiatives, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related field, with demonstrated leadership in managing BI/reporting teams.
- Strong expertise in Tableau and other BI tools for dashboarding and reporting.
- Experience working with Machine Learning teams to integrate predictive analytics into business reporting.
- Solid understanding of data architecture, pipelines, and governance.
- Ability to translate complex business needs into actionable data solutions.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and driving impactful results.
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and innovation.
- Familiarity with emerging trends in business data and analytics.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, or other data processing tools.
- Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Snowflake, or similar).
