Our client is entering a critical phase of business transformation and they’re looking for a permanent SAP Finance Functional Lead to join their team. With a significant pricing model transition on the horizon and key projects to close out, this role will allow you to make a tangible impact as the business moves into its next 5-year phase.
About the Role:
In this hands-on leadership position, you will take responsibility for the SAP Finance function, including overseeing the FICO (Finance & Controlling) modules while also being integral to the wider SAP landscape that spans procurement, HR/payroll and project systems. You will work closely with senior leadership to drive forward the finance function’s direction, while building and nurturing a strong team for the future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the SAP Finance function, ensuring smooth operations, configuration, and continuous improvements.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to help shape the finance strategy and contribute to business-wide goals.
- Be the hands-on leader for the SAP FICO modules while also influencing other key SAP functions across the business.
- Act as a proactive change agent, challenging existing business processes and driving forward improvements where necessary.
- Build and develop a high-performing team, with a focus on graduates, apprentices, and specialists.
- Be a key stakeholder manager, working to ensure smooth communication and collaboration across various departments.
- Bring fresh perspectives to the table and suggest improvements, even when they challenge the norm.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong experience in SAP FICO (Finance & Controlling), with a solid understanding of finance processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead SAP Finance functions and manage a small team.
- Stakeholder management experience, with the ability to provide professional, proactive advice and influence decision-making.
- Hands-on involvement in SAP S4/HANA upgrades, configuration, and service desk management.
