Overview

We are seeking a Corporate Pitch Manager to join our global bid team. You will principally be responsible for providing bid support to our flagship Corporate Practice across the UK and EMEA and be a key part of the Corporate Business Development team. This opportunity is based in the UK (out of either our Manchester, Birmingham or Leeds office) with collaboration across the pitch and wider business development team globally.

Our global Business Development and Marketing team works together to provide frontline business development support and advice at a practice, industry and office level. You will be joining a global bid team of seven, reporting to the UK Senior Bid Manager, and will also work closely with the Corporate BD Director and wider Corporate BD team.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting and finalising quick turnaround Corporate pitches and capability statements, utilising best practices and related tools.
  • Developing other materials to assist the Corporate Practice Group’s business development, retention and expansion efforts.
  • From time to time, work on pre-qualification questionnaires and feed into wider non-Corporate pitches.
  • Create bespoke capability statements and help keep best practice pitch materials and resources up to date, including standard firm information.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the global bid team and Corporate BD team to deliver high-quality outputs under tight deadlines.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role (bidding or Corporate BD), ideally within legal services or other professional services organisations.
  • Knowledge and experience in leading bid documentation production and best practice is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building and project management skills.
  • Excellent MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Excellent writing and oral skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment; able to use initiative and work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility with regards to hours and travel to other UK offices.
  • Ability to work under pressure; comfortable with quick turnarounds (e.g., pitches requiring response within 24 hours).
