Location: This role is based in London/Milton Keynes. This role is a full-time opportunity; flexible working patterns will be considered. For Quadrant: MK, you must live within 75/90 minutes.
Band & Salary: Band 3B (£46,701 – £55,411)
Brief Description
To lead the development and successful delivery of change projects, ensuring they meet agreed scope, timelines, cost, and quality standards – in close collaboration with Function Directors, Executive Sponsors, and their representatives.
About The Role (External)
What does the average day look like?
Your day will involve working with systems thinking experts to drive project delivery, collaborating with stakeholders across routes, regions, and the industry to meet strategic goals on time and within budget. You’ll manage risks, schedules, stakeholder engagement, and track project benefits, all while ensuring strong communication and reporting in line with programme governance.
You’ll also play a key role in transitioning the project from trial to full deployment, working with the team to build scalable frameworks for successful industry-wide implementation.
Who are we looking for?
We\’re recruiting for an exciting programme that is supporting Network Rail and the industry on developing and deploying innovative trials to help build a better railway. This includes areas such as stations, operations control, train performance management, timetable planning, and more.
We have three project manager (change) positions available supporting across projects within environments such as operations control, stations and workforce management.
You’ll need to have had experience managing projects end-to-end, leading to successful delivery of objectives. You’ll enjoy the opportunity to work with colleagues at all levels and need to create and execute a rapid deployment approach for solutions. Working at pace, you’ll always need to be thinking ahead of the team to next steps, to lead and drive the project to meet deliverables.

- Agile: You can adapt to rapidly changing environments and pivot project direction as needed without losing momentum.
