The Company
On the back of anticipated business growth, this award-winning, independent digital agency is looking for an SEO Account Manager to join their expanding team.
With a rich 26-year history and humble beginnings in a small kitchen, the agency now partners with global household names, niche industry leaders, and a wide range of other brands. You’ll work across diverse accounts, giving you the chance to bring your expertise to a variety of projects.
Based in Greater Manchester, the agency offers hybrid and flexible working, with in-office days focused on collaboration, development, and mentoring the SEO team’s next generation.
Role & Responsibilities
As the SEO Account Manager, your time will be split across the delivery of SEO strategy and managing client relationships. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Create, develop, and deliver SEO strategies that increase the organic performance, and impacts the bottom line (revenue) for a diverse portfolio of clients
- Conduct day-to-day SEO optimisations and activities such as keyword research, audits, and analysis
- Manage and improve the relationships of your existing client portfolio
- Collaborate with the internal Web Development team to action technical recommendations
- Support with new business pitches and upselling to existing clients
- Use Google Tag Manager to track user behaviour for clients
- Conduct SEO activity using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, AhRefs, Data Studio, and GTM
Skills & Experience
Your professional development will be an active focus for the business, as you are given a wide selection of training opportunities, bi-annual performance reviews, and 121 sessions with your line manager to support your growth to progress to a senior SEO position. The agency does ask that you have:
- 2+ years of experience in SEO
- Rounded SEO knowledge with core competencies across On-Page and Technical best practices
- Experience with tracking user behaviour (ideally through the use of Google Tag Manager)
- Experience working in an agency environment is preferred
- Experience working with B2B brands
- Experience with the following SEO tools: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, AhRefs, Data Studio, Google Tag Manager
- Confident communicator, with strong attention to detail
- Understanding of Off-Page SEO best practices
