Talgo Inc. is looking for a skilled Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer with 1 to 3 years of experience to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge rail technology and contribute to the production of high-speed trains! As part of the Engineering team, you\’ll play a key role in the design, manufacturing, and testing of train components and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the Mechanical installation and testing of components and assembly of train sets at the manufacturing facility
  • Develop and review technical specifications for electrical systems, including customer, supplier, and federal agency requirements
  • Manage technical documentation to ensure quality requirements are met for processes and products
  • Propose improvements to designs and manufacturing processes for electrical installations and components
  • Support and advise in resolving production issues
  • Develop training materials for customers and provide assistance with electrical technical matters
  • Analyze and interpret schematics, drawings, and technical manuals
  • Perform hands-on testing of electrical components and systems, working closely with production staff
  • Coordinate and direct manufacturing, construction, installation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with customer specifications and safety standards
  • Inspect completed installations and operations to ensure conformance to design and safety standards

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in Mechanical engineering for manufacturing assembly (rail industry experience preferred)
  • AS or BS in Engineering required
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma is a plus
  • Training in 3D CAD tools
  • Experience with SAP is a plus
  • Familiarity with analog circuit simulation tools (e.g., PSPICE)
  • Knowledge of CAD software (ProE or AutoCAD preferred)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have a valid driver\’s license
