As Food Safety Specialist you’re a key member of the Global Quality Team. You will contribute to the success of Ball by supporting development, training, execution, implementation, and compliance auditing of the Corporate Quality and Food Safety Management Program complaint to FSSC 22000 including site certification coordination with Registrar Bureau Veritas
Key responsibilities include:

Participate in the development and implementation of the Corporate Quality and Food Safety Management Program in region/plants in alignment with peer regions and global with standardization through BOE.

Develop and maintain QFSMS documentation compliant to applicable standards, customer requirements, and internal practices and in alignment with the regulatory team.

Provide support to site, region, and global in association with external 3rd party audits of QFSMS including tracking of findings, cross seeding corrective actions, and standardizing through the BOE routine.

Support plants, quality, and commercial with standardization associated with inquiries from customers relative to Quality and Food Safety approvals and documentation including providing compliance evidence.

When possible establish standardized declarations/statements which demonstrate compliance for the region/global and maintain on "The Source" for customer access. When individual customer requests are made provide information with support of commercial/quality in alignment with the requisite standards.

Participate in development of annual QFSMS Goals and Objectives in alignment with the global and region strategy providing data/input to the sites and corporate management review.

Lead the Corporate QFSMS review for the region and participate in the global review.

Develop, Improve, Maintain, and Execute the Food Safety and Quality Culture plan to include annual employee survey and recognition programs to include site, region, and global awards. Perform analysis of survey results for action planning in support of the plants and region with global connectivity

Mentor site Food Safety Team members in GMP, HACCP, Food Fraud, and Food Defense practice.

Provide QFSMS training to sites, region, corporate, and global personnel in alignment with peer regions.

Develop, maintain, and improve QFSMS (CBT) training for training system assignment and tracking in partnership with training development and execution stakeholders..

Bachelor Degree in Related field or Business

At least 3 years of experience of working in quality or quality related environment with food safety management.

Demonstrated skill in food safety managment, program development, execution, and auditing.

Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma principles.

Demonstrated success in global projects or initiatives.
-
Working knowledge of standards: FSSC 22000; ISO 9001; 14001 and 45001.

Fluency in written and spoken English.
