Key Responsibilities
- Commitment: Embrace and promote the vision and mission of our organization.
- Collaboration: Build strong, relationship-based collaborations with teachers, providing intensive, differentiated support to enhance teaching practices. Participate in monthly PBIS Leadership team meetings to evaluate program quality and goals. Facilitate the Prevent-Teach-Reinforce for Young Children (PTR-YC) process.
- Expertise: Observe training for Early Childhood Education (ECE) teams. Attend Core Leadership Meetings and contribute to the development or update of the Benchmarks of Quality (BOQ) and Behavior Expectations and Matrix.
- Preparation: Set professional development goals with teachers based on observations and develop IOP action plans. Complete IOP assessments at least twice a year for each teacher and maintain PD and IOP action plan files. Develop PBIS materials for classroom and home use.
- Coaching: Use Practice-Based Coaching to provide intensive coaching with pyramid model practices for classroom teachers. Maintain coaching logs in the PAPBS Early Childhood Database.
- Documentation: Document support services provided to teaching staff and review Behavior Incident Report (BIR) data bi-weekly. Assist in developing individual behavior plans and attend parent meetings as needed.
- Professional Development: Attend internal and external trainings, PBIS functions, and state-level PBIS meetings. Some events may occur outside normal working hours.
- Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent in Education or a related field.
- Successful completion of all required background checks, physical, and TB test.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Bilingual Spanish, Haitian-Creole, or Arabic is highly desired; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Whenever possible, speak the client’s language to the best of your ability.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite in a Windows environment preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families.
- Willingness to actively participate in agency task forces and work groups to fulfill Head Start goals.
- Desire to stay current in early childhood education strategies through ongoing professional development.
- Must have reliable transportation to facilities throughout York County as regular and timely attendance is essential; may need to start workday at different agency sites without compensation for travel time.
- Demonstrate good customer service and communication skills.
