We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our team on a 6–9 month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing multiple projects within our IT department, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. Ideal candidates will possess a strong understanding of IT project management methodologies, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to drive projects forward in a fast-paced environment.

As part of our ongoing transformation, we are searching for a highly qualified project manager to support us, initially focusing on the IT change programme. The ideal candidate will have experience in IT, preferably within marine or engineering sectors, along with strong project management skills in developing and overseeing fast-evolving work plans. The project manager will also be responsible for preparing and presenting regular updates to relevant management channels, ensuring that challenges are identified and effectively addressed.

Key Deliverables:

  1. Build and develop project plans to ensure maximum performance, providing purpose, direction, and motivation
  2. Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, including identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, with risk mitigation
  3. Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and budget
  4. Analyze project status and revise scope, schedule, or budget as necessary to meet project requirements
  5. Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes, ensuring operation within agreed authority limits
  6. Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards, and assessing risks
  7. Develop and maintain partnerships with third-party resources, including vendors and researchers
  8. Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables
  9. Report project outcomes and risks to management channels and escalate issues as necessary according to the work plan

Minimum Requirements:

  • Extensive client-facing experience and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, remotely, or as part of a team in diverse environments
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize, plan, and multitask
  • Task ownership with adherence to deadlines, timelines, and budgets
  • Understanding of project management principles and team collaboration
  • Experience working on projects from requirements to implementation
  • Proactive approach to discovering use cases and implementing solutions using Office365 & Power Platform
  • Commitment to continuous learning of PM and IT skills
  • Four or more years of project management experience
  • Experience in developing project plans, technologies, and software platforms for usability
  • Strong attention to deadlines and budget adherence
  • Proven success working with management at all levels
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Professional certification such as PMP or PRINCE2
  • Experience in developing platforms for internal processes
  • Experience coaching team members to enhance their skills
