vitamins and supplements, a true Lincolnshire success story, who are on the hunt for an ambitious Power BI Report Developer.

About the Role

As a Power BI Report Developer, you will assume a pivotal vital role in promoting a data driven culture within our organisation facilitating informed decision-making and operational excellence.

Your primary objective will be to harness the capabilities of Power BI technology to convert raw data into actionable insights, empowering stakeholders throughout the organisation to make operational, strategic and tactical decisions guided by comprehensive and visually engaging reports and dashboards.

The Power BI Report Developer will be collaborating closely with key stakeholders, you will decipher data requirements, manipulate data sets, and craft interactive visualisations that enhance the decision making process.

Key Responsibilities

Power BI Design:

  • Utilise Power BI Desktop to design and develop interactive reports and dashboards to provide insights into key performance indicators (KPIs), operational metrics, and trends relevant to our operations.

  • Employ best practices in data visualisation to create intuitive and visually appealing reports that cater to the specific needs of key stakeholders.

  • Develop robust data models and relationships within Power BI to facilitate accurate analysis and visualisation of complex datasets, ensuring alignment with the reporting framework\’s objectives.

Report Integration: Integrate data from various internal and external sources, including

databases, spreadsheets, and ERP systems (TROPOS), to create comprehensive datasets for

reporting purposes within the operational, tactical, and strategic layers.

Data Analysis: Continuously monitor report performance metrics across operational, tactical, and strategic levels, identifying opportunities for improvement such as query optimisation or data caching to maintain efficiency and reliability.

Data Security: Define and enforce role-based access controls to restrict access to confidential information, maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.

What We\’re Looking For

Formal Education:

  • Bachelors or masters degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems Technology, or a related field.

  • Microsoft Power BI certification (Desirable).

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards.

  • Experience of BI based projects working on own initiative and involving the full development life cycle.

  • Record of designing and implementing complex reports to meet business requirements.

  • Experience working with large datasets and optimising query performance.

  • Experience in data preparation including data extraction and transformation, ERP systems (Desirable).

Skills

  • Strong proficiency in SQL.

  • Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft applications & CRM systems, ERP systems, CI tools, and Product Data Management software.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

  • Familiarity with data visualisation best practices and principles.
