What you\’ll be doing:

Lead the engineering team to expertly maintain critical equipment and data center fabric. Highlight and report all opportunities to improve efficiency in site operations and asset condition.

Actively support the development of the team in line with recognized professional institutes and promote the Magic of Equinix – our values.

Assist the Engineering Manager with the daily supervision of contractors engaged in project works.

Attend project meetings, giving technical mentor-ship and sharing information with the wider team.

Ensure customer notifications are raised and issued in good time.

Oversee contractor work and operations to ensure completion to Equinix\’s required standards.

Audit contractors work and RAMS to ensure their compliance

Assist with start up tests, documenting and reporting all problems
-
Communicate and coordinate activities and on-site staff during an incident

Provide ongoing technical support and training to the team.
What we are looking for:

ONC/BTEC or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering

Previous data center experience
-
Previous experience leading a strong team of engineers

Good customer skills
-
18th Edition test and inspection training
-
Ambitious and flexible
-
HV Switching experience
-
Clean UK Driving License
