With the increase in policing projects in the UK market, the demand for SC & NPPV3 Cleared specialists has risen. We are looking for a skilled AWS DevOps Engineer to join a major digital transformation programme within the UK.
You\’ll be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team shaping secure infrastructure solutions that support millions of users across the UK.
If you are SC & NPPV3 cleared and have strong hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps best practices, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS, following best-practice security and resilience patterns.
- Develop reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Vagrant, and related tools.
- Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Groovy scripting, and other automation tools.
- Enable robust monitoring and observability through Grafana, Prometheus, Alert Manager, and related tools.
- Apply DevSecOps practices, integrating tools like SonarQube, ClamAV, and MS Defender into delivery pipelines.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of hands-on DevOps experience with a focus on AWS cloud platforms
- Strong proficiency with AWS services (EC2, ECS, RDS, ELB, EFS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, SSM, HSM)
- In-depth experience with AWS networking (VPC, Route53, NACLs, Transit Gateways, VIFs)
- Expertise in Terraform, Jenkins, Git, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with container technologies (Docker, Amazon Linux 2023 AMI)
- Exposure to OpenLDAP, Nginx, Squid proxy with mTLS, and Postfix/Dovecot mail server configuration
- Familiarity with system monitoring, logging, and alerting tools
- Strong scripting skills (Shell, Python, PowerShell)
- Experience in incident/change management using ServiceNow
- Proven ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues
