About the role:

We are looking for a stand alone Payroll Manager who is highly skilled in managing end to end payrolls. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering an accurate and efficient payroll service for our workforce, and be involved in some exciting payroll projects.

Key Resposibilities:

  • Managing end to end payroll processes on a monthly basis for all employees
  • UK payroll of 300+ employees, US payroll of 5+ and two other small international payrolls
  • Calculating and processing overtime, top-ups, bonuses, and statutory payments
  • Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and statutory deductions
  • Managing starters, leavers, and contractual changes
  • Producing and reconciling payroll reports
  • Administering pension contributions and liaising with our pension provider
  • Managing year end processes including P60s, P11Ds and HMRC submissions
  • Acting as first point of contact for all payroll related queries
  • Supporting finance and HR with payroll data and reports as required
  • Continuously reviewing payroll processes to ensure efficiency and compliance

Skills and Requirements:

  • Proven experience running end to end payroll independently
  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent Excel skills – confident in using formulas, pivot tables and v look ups
  • Good working knowledge of payroll systems
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Strong communication skills – able to explain payroll details clearly to staff at all levels
  • International payroll experience is not a requirement and can be taught
