We’re looking for a confident and capable Senior Financial Reporting Manager to join our high-performing Financial Reporting team at Virgin Media O2 on a 12–14 month fixed-term contract (dependent on start date). This is a phenomenal opportunity to tackle a pivotal senior role in a visible, fast-paced, and collaborative environment.
Reporting directly to the Head of Reporting, you\’ll play a key part in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and clarity of our financial reporting under both IFRS and US GAAP. You’ll have a hand in everything from reviewing and preparing journal entries to getting stuck into the detail of our consolidated statements and statutory filings, including our Annual Reports and Company accounts.
But this isn’t just a technical role. Our Financial Reporting team sits at the heart of Finance & Strategy, working closely with teams like Investor Relations, Treasury, Legal, and FP&A — as well as with our shareholders at Liberty Global and Telefónica. That means you\’ll also have the chance to support on ad hoc, high-impact projects such as regulatory changes, M&A activity, or debt refinancing — often at pace and with real business impact.
We’re a “roll up your sleeves” kind of team. While you’ll have your own areas of ownership, we work collaboratively and flexibly, sharing tasks and tackling challenges together. We’re looking for someone who brings a “can-do” approach, isn’t fazed by change, and thrives in an environment where no two days are the same!
In return, you’ll gain valuable exposure at a senior level and the chance to influence and improve how we do things. You’ll also help mentor and develop junior team members, supporting both their growth and the positive culture we’ve built together.
If you’re someone who loves detail, enjoys solving sophisticated problems, and wants to make a real impact, all while helping shape the future of financial reporting at VMO2, we’d love to hear from you.
This role requires 2- 3 days a week in the Reading office.

Together, we are Virgin Media O2, and we can\’t wait to see what you can do.

Virgin Media O2 is an equal opportunities employer, and we\’re working hard to remove bias and barriers for our people and candidates. So, we build equity and inclusion into everything we do, from the policies we craft to the relationships we shape. We support and encourage you to be your authentic self throughout your application journey with us.
The must haves
In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;
- Qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent experience, with a strong accounting background

When you apply, you\’ll be asked about any adjustments you might need to support the recruitment process. Let us know, and we\’ll be sure to discuss it with you.
Please note: Applications will be reviewed, and interviews conducted throughout the duration of this advert, therefore we may bring the closing date forward. We encourage all interested applicants to apply as soon as possible. If you’re offered a job with us, it will be conditional, based on the passing of background checks.
