The Writtle School of Agriculture, Animal and Environmental Sciences was established in 2024 as part of the Faculty of Science & Engineering at ARU. It offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses designed to offer a research-informed, high-quality educational experience. The School is dedicated to advancing knowledge across its land based disciplines, drawing on extensive industry and sector links to evidence developments that put science into practice on its own estate and farm.
About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated lecturer in Horticulture to join our interdisciplinary team delivering high quality, innovative teaching across our undergraduate and postgraduate curricula.
Building on a long history as Horticultural educators, we are seeking applicants able to contribute to our forward-looking vision and produce graduates ready to meet the challenges facing the horticultural sector today. We seek a strong commitment to excellence in learning and teaching and students’ acquisition of skills through problem-based scenarios and embedded co-creation. An interest in the economic, social, and environmental value and use of plants, trees and urban green spaces would be advantageous. You will be joining a professional team of specialists based at our Writtle Campus. Our green space offers a living learning environment to provide students with real world practical scholarship-led teaching. We aim to transform lives through our horticultural education that can lead to successful lifelong careers for our graduates.
