As a Regulatory Toxicologist in our Product Safety and Compliance Department (PSCD), you will be responsible for supporting our regulatory toxicology assessments, interpreting global regulatory requirements and initiatives, and handling information inquiries regarding regulatory toxicology, with a focus on REACH. This is a highly cross-functional position requiring regular communication and influence with all business units, including R&D, procurement, supply chain, operations, legal, and finance.
What We\’re Looking For:
- A recently qualified scientist passionate about developing their toxicology expertise in the specialty chemical sector, who will:
- Support a team of toxicologists overseeing human, environmental, and physical chemical testing projects with third-party laboratories, including assessment of new data for regulatory reporting obligations.
- Organize, analyze, and interpret test results for submission to global regulatory agencies.
- Contribute to the development and execution of product defense strategies.
- Present technical and regulatory information effectively to internal and external audiences.
- Monitor regulatory and toxicology communications relevant to PSCD and the business.
- Some experience in toxicology within the chemical, pharmaceutical, or related industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Solid understanding of toxicology principles and the scientific basis for toxicity testing.
- Strong interest in designing, monitoring, and interpreting data from human health and environmental toxicology testing programs to evaluate risks.
- Interest in learning about regulatory and data requirements for global chemical notifications and initiatives like EU REACH.
- Project management skills and a results-driven attitude.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in a global team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities appropriately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
