Opportunity:
Norman Rourke Pryme (NRP) is looking to appoint transport professionals to play a key role in our growing Transport and Engineering business.
The roles will primarily involve the development of RIBA Stage 1-3 designs and/or local, microsimulation and strategic traffic modelling. Supported by our existing Transport and Engineering team, providing technical expertise and contributing to the future growth of the business, with opportunities to project manage the delivery of the schemes. NRP are currently engaged on a number of very high-profile and challenging projects for key clients and there would be the opportunity to become involved in these projects directly and play a pivotal role in their delivery.
NRP specialise in undertaking transport planning studies and developing traffic and transportation schemes for public and private sector clients. We have established a strong reputation for producing high quality schemes for a variety of purposes and have a good track record in developing innovative methodologies and solutions.
The project work that NRP undertakes is varied, challenging and often high-profile due to the clients that we work for in Central London and across the UK. Requirements:
It is essential that you have:
- A good standard relevant degree, or a post graduate qualification or a suitable level of professional experience to demonstrate capability.
- An understanding of transport modelling and ability to interpret model outputs.
- A strong understanding and working knowledge of AutoCAD
- A working knowledge of industry guidance – TSRGD, Manual for Streets, LTNs etc.
- A high standard of numeracy.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Proficiency with MS Office software and Excel in particular.
- A good level of professional work experience, with London experience highly desirable.
Additionally, the following skills / experience would be beneficial:
- A good skill level and experience of using LinSig and Vissim microsimulation software.
- A good skill level and experience of using Visum, specifically TfL\’s ONE model.
- A working knowledge of industry modelling guidance and an understanding of calibration and validation techniques.
- Experience of TfL\’s Model Auditing Process.
- Project management skills would be an advantage
