Job Description

We are seeking a skilled business analyst to work in Belfast, the successful candidate should have financial services experience and be able to utilise knowledge of software development lifecycle procedures and concepts and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analysing/interpreting code

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse business client needs, derive test cases, understand and document their use case.
• Resolve problems by translating business requirements, identifying trends and defining scope to inform technical solution.
• Analysis of large sets of product reference data across Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives and Structured Finance securities from varying sources.
• Define and design enhancements to the system, business processes and process automation utilizing best practices and industry standards.
• Consult with users and clients to trouble shoot complex system issues/problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes and systems.
• Identify and communicate risks and impacts, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment

Qualifications:

• Proven relevant experience in the industry
• Knowledge of financial Markets highly advantageous
• Demonstrate excellent analytical skills, communication and presentation skills with an ability to tailor delivery to the required audience.
• Proven problem-solver with the ability to work under pressure, approach work methodically and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
• Experience in data analysis with knowledge of databases
• SQL knowledge preferable
• You should have experience of partner management and influencing skills
• Microsoft office skills – Primarily Excel
