To lead and develop the Countess of Chester Hospital Radiology Service, providing comprehensive advice and support including training opportunities to all staff within the Radiology department. Responsible for achieving national and local waiting time targets.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support the business planning process with the directorate manager, identifying cost improvements and service development.
- Ensure the provision of a safe, effective, and responsive imaging service.
- Oversee recruitment, selection, and appointment of staff, ensuring HR policies are followed.
- Maintain clear communication within the department and with external stakeholders.
- Provide expert advice on procurement of imaging equipment.
- Support the Radiology Directorate Leadership Team in delivering high-quality services aligned with the Trust’s strategy.
- Conduct annual staff appraisals, facilitate access to CPD, and ensure mandatory training is completed.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture, supporting staff development, recruitment, and retention.
