Job Opportunity: Data Quality Engineer
Contract: Until March 2026 (with potential extension)
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee data acquisition, validation, pipeline development, storage, and visualisation.
- Conduct data quality reviews to support programme targets and validate technologies.
- Develop and maintain in-house data tools, calculations, and parameterisation processes.
- Ensure test facilities deliver repeatable and regulation-compliant measurements.
- Lead correlation exercises across test operations and facilities.
- Continuously improve measurement quality through equipment and method reviews.
- Analyse test results and initiate corrective actions where necessary.
- Collaborate on projects to enhance test bed consistency and repeatability.
- Support team KPIs and recommend improvements to enhance data quality.
- Research and implement best practices in data quality and test field efficiency.
- Mentor and coach team members in data validation and management techniques.
Skills & Experience:
- Degree in natural science, mathematics, engineering, or computing.
- Proficiency in programming (preferably Python).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) for data systems and pipelines.
- Strong data analysis skills including hypothesis testing and uncertainty analysis.
- Ability to influence engineering decisions through data insights.
- Familiarity with physical measurement equipment and KPI development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Academic thesis or project in a relevant field.
- Knowledge of engineering and legislative measurement techniques.
- Experience in measurement science and equipment sensitivity.
