Job Description:
Principle Responsibilities:
- Completes comprehensive patient assessments.
- Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness.
- Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician.
- Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment.
- Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care.
Required Qualifications:
- Master\’s degree – Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant Program Required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- New graduates may be considered. Minimum 2 years experience in cardiology or ICU.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Certification as a Physician Assistant – NCCPA -National Commission Certification of Physician Assistants upon hire required or Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) – American Nurse Credentialing Center or (AANP) American Association for Nurse Practitioners required upon hire.
- Licensed Registered Nurse – MN Board of Nursing required upon hire (NP candidates)
- Active MN NP/PA license (or ability to obtain).
- BLS certification required within 180 days of hire.
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for credentialing and hospital privileges.
