What you\’ll be doing
Future\’s mobile app products are a core source of revenue and projected growth. You will be part of Future\’s technology investment, focused on rolling out new apps for our broad range of brands.
Reporting to the Tech Lead, you\’ll be an important member of Future\’s Apps Team, working in close collaboration with the wider Technology & Engineering department.
Your aim will be to contribute to the delivery of a scalable, well structured, efficient “multi-brand” app platform integrated with a broader range of internal and external services.
The job will involve working on both green-field projects, using the latest libraries and best practice, and maintaining and improving legacy systems. You will work with Senior Developers and the team lead on the development of software components, refactoring existing code and working in collaboration with other teams to build new services and products.
Experience that will put you ahead of the curve
- React Native and TypeScript expertisewith a track record delivering high-quality iOS and Android apps, including diverse theming and UX considerations (Tamagui, accessibility, etc.).
- Effective communicatorable to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences and lead collaborative teams using Git/GitFlow, with peer review best practices.
- Experience with data handlingfrom databases and APIs, with an understanding of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Vector, Graph) and asynchronous architectures (queues, topics, subscriptions, and event sourcing).
- Experience with modern DevOpspractices, including CI/CD pipelines, AWS, and related tools.
- Broader technical proficiencyacross Swift, Java/Kotlin for native mobile, modern web development, and AI tooling (e.g., Cursor).
