A global business based in Ipswich is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a proven track record of delivering complex IT projects on time and to a high standard. Reporting directly to the Head of Shared Services, this is a hands-on delivery-focused role. You’ll be responsible for driving real progress, removing blockers, and ensuring critical infrastructure projects are delivered with speed and precision. You’ll take ownership of key ICT initiatives including data centre exits, cloud migrations, and legacy system decommissioning. Your role will ensure that teams stay focused, obstacles are resolved quickly, and milestones are consistently achieved. Responsibilities:
- Own and deliver multiple infrastructure projects from scoping to closure with full accountability for time, cost, and output
- Replace talk with action by leading output-focused workshops, daily stand-ups, and rapid progress updates
- Track and drive execution by defining tasks, assigning owners, and chasing outcomes in real time
- Maintain a sharp, actionable RAID log with clear mitigation plans and immediate escalation of blockers
- Enforce accountability by challenging vagueness, resisting delays, and delivering with impact
- Create concise, visual one-page dashboards and impact assessments
- Tackle root causes, propose fixes, and insist on clarity to remove bottlenecks Experience & Skills:
- 5+ years of experience delivering technical infrastructure projects, including cloud migrations, network changes, and data centre exits
- Extensive experience in fast-paced, multi-entity environments, particularly within regulated industries and large-scale enterprises.
- Proven ability to overcome resistance, challenge blockers, and deliver complex programmes on time
- Skilled in APM, PRINCE2, PMP methodologies, with a results-driven, no-nonsense approach to delivery
- Technically fluent and able to identify and resolve delivery risks through direct engagement with engineers
- Familiar with governance and compliance frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001) while keeping delivery lean and pragmatic
- Clear and confident communicator across technical and executive levels
- Detail-oriented with a sharp eye for spotting risks and weaknesses in project plans
- Relentless focus on execution, enforcing accountability and driving outcomes
- Problem-solver with a practical mindset and a bias for action
