anzuk is working with a welcoming and well-respected North London school to recruit a Finance Assistant to join their friendly and professional office team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with school finance experience to support a busy administrative team in delivering high-quality business services.

About the Role
This is a key position within the school’s operations team, working closely with the Finance and Facilities Officer and reporting to the Operations Manager. The role focuses on ensuring accurate processing of financial data, maintaining supplier records, assisting with payroll prep, and supporting wider school financial systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter transactions into the school’s FMS system and assist with processing journals
- Raise purchase orders and manage deliveries and goods received
- Validate and process invoices with all required documentation
- Maintain accurate supplier records and resolve queries
- Support the management of the school’s online payment system (e.g., ParentPay)
- Monitor outstanding payments and follow up as per finance policy
- Assist with month-end tasks and support payroll data preparation
- Help maintain the school’s asset register and online systems
Ideal Candidate
- Experience using FMS and other finance systems within an educational or similar environment
- Strong IT skills including Excel and Microsoft Office packages
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively
- Committed to upholding school policies, safeguarding, and continuous development
A relevant qualification such as AAT (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential for the right candidate with strong experience.
