Intermediate / Senior Electrical Design Engineer
Our client is a dynamic and forward-thinking engineering consultancy delivering a diverse portfolio of projects across residential, education, laboratories, and MOJ developments. With a well-balanced mix of medium-sized and high-profile schemes they offer engineers the opportunity to work on multiple project stages (2 to 6) from concept to completion. Role Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage electrical design projects across sectors including residential, education, justice, and laboratories.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers and other disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Prepare and manage fee proposals, engage with clients, and represent the team in meetings.
- Oversee workload distribution, ensuring deadlines are met efficiently.
- Provide leadership, mentoring junior engineers and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Design electrical services from Stage 2 to Stage 6, including detailed specifications and calculations.
- Attend site visits, provide technical advice, and work on projects ranging from small schemes to large-scale residential and commercial developments.
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in electrical design (5-6 years for senior role).
- Proficiency in design software such as REVIT (MagiCAD experience is a plus).
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to project leadership.
- Interest in or progress towards Chartered Engineer status.
