Specialist Platforms provide unique and specialist solutions to some of the industries more complex connectivity issues across the UK and wider Global communities.

Within the Radio and Satcoms platform, our role is to support the availability and security of the network 24/7/365 combining operational and engineering resources to meet the customer demand. In your role as an Enablement professional, you will support the delivery of these services to our customers, providing guidance and support in procurement, contract fulfilment and licencing.

We’re also excited to be building the networks of the future – working alongside our commercial partners to bring new products within the GEO and LEO satellite space, bespoke radio solutions for hard-to-reach areas, supporting the connection of Critical National Infrastructure and continued support the wider business to build a more sustainable and innovative product solution for our customers.

What you’ll be doing

• Undertakes continuous assessments across multiple projects, identifying gaps in financial, compliance and delivery capabilities to support the wider team
• Monitors and supports the deployment of tools that enable engineering teams to continue building and innovating.
• Undertakes the timely resolution of critical customer escalations contributing to high standards of customer delivery.
• Undertakes the implementation of efficiency savings and supporting in target setting for performance in output and quality to ensure an environment of continuous improvement is instilled in the team.
• Supports in the implementation of ways to improve working processes within the area of engineering, in life service & delivery responsibility.
• Undertakes the designing and planning of tactical project plans across product / service groups to meet time, cost and quality targets.
• Follows project roadmaps for capability, maturity, health and status updates ensuring the project performance vision aligns with business strategy.
• Contributes and facilitates partnerships with peers and stakeholders aimed at aligning functional work impacting service delivery standards.
• Executes impactful work delivering quality for the wider Radio & Satellite team
• Participates and performs within the Engineering Enablement guidelines and policies.

Skill and Experience

• Story-telling with data: strong skills in building the case for change, drawing on data and analytical techniques where appropriate, and communicating this to business audiences

• Stakeholder Management: Able to establish and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships and facilitates mutually beneficial negotiations to develop solutions

• Risk Management: The ability to identify risks, balance the threats and opportunities associated with the risks, take appropriate mitigating action against the risks and track and manage risk over their lifetime.
• Problem Solving: Must be able to proactively solve business problems that deal with uncertainty e.g. demand profile planning including location, skill and resource.
• Business/ Financial acumen: Knowledgeable in business strategy and the drivers of organisational performance, including people drivers of performance and financial literacy (e.g. business KPIs, business cases
• Matrix Management:
Ability to support small to medium size teams to deliver successful business outcomes

Experience you would be expected to have
• Successful delivery of a range of small to large programmes would be desirable
• Ability to collate and analyse data and translate into Reporting insights
• Working with senior stakeholder managing conflicts in delivering enablement solutions in a timely manner at optimum cost.
• Working with internal and external partners to deliver to quality and on time expectation.
• Experience and proficient in Microsoft office packages
• Implemented change initiatives, ability to adapt quickly and deliver change effectively.
• Systems experience including JIRA & Ariba
• Other local ordering systems (non-essential, training to be provided) ISOS, SOTS & VIM
