The Role
As a Software Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in building out critical components of the platform. From architecting scalable systems in Go, to integrating services across a cloud-native stack in AWS, this is a hands-on role where your technical decisions will have direct user impact.
You’ll work closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and fellow backend specialists to ship features that are both technically elegant and commercially valuable.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain robust backend services using Go
- Collaborate with React frontend developers to ensure seamless end-to-end performance
- Leverage AWS services to optimise scalability, reliability, and security
- Translate product and customer requirements into scalable backend solutions
- Participate in code reviews and engineering rituals to uphold code quality and best practice
- Stay current with emerging technologies and tools, sharing knowledge across the team
What They’re Looking For
- Solid commercial experience as a Backend Engineer, ideally in product-led or FinTech environments
- Deep understanding of Go and its ecosystem, with clean and testable code
- Strong knowledge of AWS services and cloud infrastructure
- Experience working in environment where frontend/backend collaboration is key, React exposure a plus
- Problem-solving mindset with great attention to performance and maintainability
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
